Die im Ostseebad Schönberg lebende und arbeitende Autorin Ute Haese ist vor allem für ihre in der Probstei spielenden, tiefsinnigen und mit viel Lokalkolorit ausgestatteten Küstenkrimis um die eigenwillige Privatermittlerin Hanna Hemlokk bekannt. Der neunte Band der Reihe ist Mitte März erschienen. Die Lesungen indes, mit denen Ute Haese die Neuerscheinung ihrer Leserschaft präsentieren wollte, sind im Corona-Lockdown untergegangen. Deshalb hat sie eine Ersatzbühne gesucht und auch gefunden: das Internet.
Ein weißes Blatt Papier, der auf leerem Monitor blinkende Cursor, Stille am Schreibtisch, leise um eine Geschichte ringende Gedanken: Die Schriftstellerei kann ein einsamer Job sein. Doch wenn die Seiten gefüllt sind und das Buch gedruckt ist, treten viele Autorinnen und Autoren doch ans Licht der Öffentlichkeit. Ihre Bühne sind Lesungen, ihr Publikum ist die Leserschaft.
Für Ute Haese sind solche Lesungen ein wichtiges Instrument bei der Präsentation eines neuen Buchs. Ihr jüngstes Werk ist am 15. März erschienen. Nur ein paar Tage später hatten die Corona-Regelungen die für den 25. März vorgesehene Premierenlesung unmöglich gemacht.

Und das war erst der Anfang: Acht Lesungen sind Ute Haese im Frühjahr abhandengekommen und sie sah ihr neues Buch bereits „im freien Fall“. Den trockenen Humor hat sie sich trotzdem bewahrt: „Es klingelt das Telefon, es meldet sich ein Veranstalter und du weißt schon, was er will“, fasst sie ihre Erfahrungen der vergangenen Wochen zusammen.
Alles einfach abzuschreiben, kam ihr nicht in den Sinn. Stattdessen aber das Internet: „Lesungen online zu verbreiten, ist ja eine verlockende Idee“, sagt Ute Haese. Für sie selbst allerdings sei das eher eine „Verzweiflungstat“ gewesen. „Und anfangs recht amateurhaft im Wohnzimmer umgesetzt“, gesteht sie lachend.
Am meisten habe ihr dabei das Publikum gefehlt: „Ohne die typische Atmosphäre allein vor der Kamera, sozusagen im luftleeren Raum zu lesen – das ist schon gewöhnungsbedürftig.“
Ihre Skepsis sei einer maßvollen Begeisterung für das Medium gewichen, räumt Ute Haese heute ein. „Jetzt verbinde ich mit Online-Lesungen die Hoffnung, neue und vor allem mehr Leser zu erreichen.“ Auch sind ihre Lesungen im Netz längst keine Hausmannskost mehr: Ute Haese war zwischenzeitlich in anderen, gut produzierten Formaten zu Gast, etwa auf der „KN-Bühne“ der Regionalzeitung „Kieler Nachrichten“ oder in der Reihe „Lesen! - mit Abstand“ auf dem YouTube-Kanal des Lübecker Klassik Altstadt Hotels.
Für Ute Haese bedeutet die Corona-Krise also auch, gewohnte, gängige Wege zu verlassen und Neues auszuprobieren – „ein Jonglieren mit Möglichkeiten um die Frage herum, was ich als Autorin in einem Kultur-Lockdown machen kann“ umschreibt sie das. Der Druck allerdings, Bücher auf neue Weise bekannt zu machen, sei groß. Und die echten Lesungen ganz anders als bisher.
Die Premierenlesung für ihren neuen Band „Makrelenblues“ etwa wird nun nicht in der Gemütlichkeit eines kleinen Lokals stattfinden, sondern in einem großen Hotelsaal und das auch erst im November. „Bei den geltenden Abstandsregeln braucht es das einfach, um ein nennenswertes Publikum unterzubringen“, erklärt Ute Haese die Planänderung.
Immerhin sei es überhaupt eine Lesung vor Publikum. „Die Sommerpause war in dieser Beziehung eine echte Sommerpause und die Lesungen im Netz für mich bislang nichts weiter als ein Experiment“, resümiert Ute Haese. Denn, so glaubt sie: „Ich kann vielleicht ins Internet ausweichen, meine Leser nicht unbedingt.“
