I am an engineer and technologist, but I mostly like words. In a previous life I traveled the world with the U.S. Navy. Unfortunately, from my vantage point it all looked like the inside of a submarine. I spend my free time hacking silver halides with decidedly low-tech gear and riding motorcycles around and around in circles.

👋🏼 I'm Jonathan LaCour. I live in SoCal (LA / Palm Desert) and work as the CTO of Mission, an AWS cloud services company. Some topics of interest to me:

🌎 IndieWeb
🍎 Apple
🏈 (The U, Georgia Tech, LA Rams)
🏎️ Formula 1 (Essere Ferrari)

Father, Coach • k8s `OG` • grid guy before hipsters • old man yelling at the cloud • Principal SWE (Tanzu) • ex - ( Heptio, Red Hat ) • thoughts are my own

cloud / containers / kubernetes / linux things @Azure; formerly cco @ kinvolk, founder @ tigera/calico, gm/corp dev/mktg @ metaswitch; he/him; berlin de, berkeley ca, or somewhere in my 1978 vw westfalia
